Theater for Charity is happy to announce auditions for Disney's
Freaky Friday: A New Musical
Freaky Friday: The Musical is a heartwarming and hilarious stage adaptation of the beloved Disney story. The musical follows teenager Ellie Blake and her mother, Katherine, a perfectionist wedding planner, who magically swap bodies after a heated argument sparked by a mysterious hourglass. Forced to live each other’s lives for a day, they gain a deeper understanding of each other’s struggles, hopes, and fears. As chaos unfolds—with high school drama, wedding mishaps, and a lot of laughs, they must find a way to switch back before time runs out.
The show features a lively, contemporary score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (known for Next to Normal) and blends comedy with touching moments of family, empathy, and self-acceptance.
